The Faxon Duty Series 10.5" SOCOM 5.56 Complete Upper is a fully assembled drop-in upper receiver group engineered for AR-15 pistols, braced builds, and short-barreled rifles in tactical, duty, and defensive applications.

The SOCOM-profile barrel's forward mass absorbs and dissipates heat during rapid or sustained fire — critical when running a short barrel hard in close-quarters or vehicle defense roles. A carbine-length gas system provides reliable cycling at 10.5". The superfinished nitride M16 BCG reduces friction and simplifies cleaning over standard phosphate alternatives. Designed to drop onto any mil-spec AR-15 lower receiver. Compatible with standard 5.56 NATO and .223 Remington ammunition. Best matched with red dot or holographic sights for CQB applications. Note: This upper uses a fixed gas block and standard A2 flash hider with 1/2x28 threads. 4150 CrMoV barrel steel is stress-relieved and MPI-inspected, with black nitride finish for corrosion resistance and simplified field cleaning. The superfinished BCG reduces break-in time and maintenance demands.
