The new Rapid Engagment Device, or better known as the Fortis RED, is a brake that stays true to the Fortis brand. They wanted to develop, engineer, and design a military grade accessory that not only functions great, but looks great also. Tested and evaluated by people in the military and law enforcement community - then put to the test by members of the 3 gun community, Fortis came up with this design. Tested under harsh full auto conditions, the RED doesn't disappoint. Keep your speed and accuracy up. Put more down range and on target. Try out the Fortis RED!

Real nice brake

by -

Really nice brake. It is a bit on the large side, and a little heavy, but very nicely machines and works well.

Awesome break.

This break is awesome. I slapped it on a Thompson Center bolt action rifle in 308. It reduced recoil substantially. I have no numbers of graphic to show, but I would say the recoil feels about 40% lighter. The break itself is a little large and heavy, but looks fantastic. One note. No matter how hard I tried, I couldn't get it to sit right side up when torqueing it with a crush washer. I had to buy a jam nut to time it and align it correctly. Maybe it was me, but I've read similar complaints on several forums. Something to consider. I'm sure PA has jam nuts available. Fortis makes great stuff.
