Forward Controls Design EPC AR-15 Ejection Port Cover - Black - Twin Dimple
Details
Details
The Forward Controls Design Ejection Port Cover, or EPC, is a high-quality port cover for AR-15 rifles designed with precision using TDP dimensions. The EPC is made from billet 7075 aluminum, making it both durable and lightweight. The hard coat Type III anodized finish also protects from corrosion and wear.
One of the unique features of the EPC is the two "tabs" on either side of the port cover spring cutout. These tabs allow the EPC to rest on the upper receiver at a greater angle when in the down position, creating more space between the cover and the lower receiver. This design allows easier access to the port cover and enhances the user's ability to open and close it quickly.
Another feature that sets the EPC apart is the shallow circular depression on the left side of the cover. This depression provides tactile feedback to the user's finger when closing the port cover, offering better traction and grip. The flat surfaces on the EPC are used sparingly and only when necessary, such as for control surfaces. The EPC is built to the TDP spec and is compatible with a wide range of upper receivers. It weighs only 0.30 ounces, making it lightweight and easy to handle. The EPC is proudly designed and manufactured in the USA, ensuring the highest quality and precision.

FCD Quality & Build
by NATHAN -
If you buy FCD parts for your rifles then you know their pricey, but we'll made and worth it. My latest ADM UIC 2 build I went with alot of FCD dimpled parts to match my dimpled RailScale G10 grips. Only reason I gave 4 stars and not 5 is I put this on a new build and after using the dust port acouple times I noticed the cover would no longer snap shut like it was stuck. After close inspection I noticed the covers ball detent was severely gouged and worn away just after a few uses and basically the ball had a huge flat spot on it causing it not to shut. FCD cs basically said it's a consumable part but worn out after a few cycles and ive had cheap covers opened hundreds of times and their still good! I ended up taking a real small diamond file and gently rounded the ball again enough that it will go shut and function but for this kind of $ I feel there shouldn't be this kind of issue!
