The effective design of the 6315 draws inspiration from the muzzle device found on Stoner 63 -itself an improvement on the A2 flash hider - but modernized and tweaked for superior performance. By shortening and narrowing the side ports, muzzle rise reduction has improved and the increased real estate at the muzzle end has allowed the inclusion of wire cutter notches at 3 and 9 o'clock positions. The impressive suppression capabilities combined with the lightweight and small design are proof that larger muzzle devices aren't necessarily better. Simple, clean, and effective, the 6315 is an excellent option for your next AR-15 build.

Awesome Dead Air Alternative

Really impressed with FCD. Was looking for a different Keymo mount that the standard DA flash hider and comp and stumbled in this. The A2ish style is a nice change from everything else I use. The machining and finish on mine was nearly perfect and uniform. Mounting was super easy with Precision Armament Accuwashers. My Sandman ratchets on just like it should and while it isn't quite as tight as my DA muzzle devices its certainly tight enough. Flash suppression is fine and no annoying concussive blast. I'll be buying more for future builds for sure.

For a new build, I needed a Dead Air flash hider, but the OEM model wasn't available. So, I'm inpatient and I took a shot ordering this ½-28 version.
So far so good. Looking to get the ⅝-24.version.

Awesome product. Birdcage style flash hider with keymo adapter, but not a 5.
Why? Forward control decided to cheap out and not give you shims.
High Quality

Works with the keymo system on my DA Sandman and the machining is high quality. Recoil compensation is as expected, low muzzle blast, and I do enjoy the Stone 63 look. The negative . . . as mentioned in other reviews, FCD did not provide timing shims.
Objectively Great

I wanted a flash hider over a brake that I could still mount my suppressor if desired. On a 12.5” 5.56 barrel with midlength gas this thing performed the same rise/recoil-wise without the concussion/loudness/flash/violence of a muzzle brake/compensator (without the suppressor mounted). I took my first shot and it was like shooting a .22 perception-wise and I was genuinely taken aback and found the shooting experience to be so much smoother. I’d never go back to a brake for this gun after using this. Flashhiding is not something I was able to really “test” during the day but I had no feedback from the muzzle in my optic or in my other eye. Just a typical bang sound and dirt flying on the berm and the optic just stayed right there. I don’t leave reviews neurotically on every product. So this is how impressed I am with FCD’s modification of the basic A2 flash hider to also operate as a comp and suppressor mount. SAH-lid. Buy it.
