The Geissele Automatics SMR MK15 is a 10.5-inch M-LOK free float handguard designed for HK416 and MR556 rifles, machined from 6061-T6 aluminum with a Type III hardcoat anodized DDC finish.

The MK15 uses the HK416's factory barrel nut as its mounting base — a design choice that preserves the strength and rigidity the HK416 barrel nut system is known for while allowing the MK15 to sit tightly against the receiver. M-LOK slots at 3, 6, and 9 o'clock positions provide mounting for force multipliers including lights, lasers, and vertical grips. Integrated QD sling swivel sockets are built into the handguard body, eliminating the need for a separate rail-mounted sling attachment point. At 10.3 ounces installed, the MK15 adds minimal weight to the HK416 platform.
