The Geissele Automatics Reliability Enhancement Kit -- H2 comes with the enhanced 5.56 bolt carrier group, a Super 42 braided buffer spring, and an H2 buffer weight in one package. The Enhanced Bolt Carrier Group is a full-mass M16 profile, full-auto-rated BCG built from premium materials and coatings.

The entire BCG is coated in Nanoweapon, a chrome-nitride finish that increases smoothness and surface hardness for corrosion resistance and easier cleaning. Longer upper rails help prevent carrier tilt and increase feeding reliability, and the bolt undergoes a proprietary heat-treating process that reduces impurities for a stronger, more consistent bolt than standard Carpenter 158 alternatives. Pairing the BCG with a matched Super 42 spring and buffer weight in one kit takes the guesswork out of tuning a reliable recoil system.

Great Improvements for Your AR

I previously purchased a Geissele 11.5 upper that included the Geissele BCG and 42 Buffer and Spring. The buffer and spring are marketed as being stronger, longer lasting, and better tuned than stock items, and it does seem to be smoother and quieter. The Geissele BCG is fantastic since it is coated which makes cleaning so much easier. I purchased both of these items for install in an AR build.

Can you buy a BCG for cheaper? Yes, you can. Will it be a Geissele nano coated BCG? no it won't. Been shooting USMC weapons for 18 yrs now, Colt, FN, KAC all of them have issues when the BCG has carbon build up. Spent a lot of time cleaning them with the OTIS bone tool (GET THAT!!) sku-FG-246. I wouldn't say this is light years ahead of other BCG's but it is more efficient with cleaning. I'm slowly integrating them into my builds now, they do come at a price and once again Primary Arms had the best price and bundle deal with Super Spring and H2 buffer.
