The Geissele Automatics URG-I Airborne Charging Handle is the URG-I variant of the Airborne design — maintaining all the features of the standard Airborne with minimal laser engraving limited to "Geissele Automatics" and the ACH's NSN number, designed at the request of an elite organization known for aerial insertions. Built for AR-15 platforms, this charging handle is machined from a solid block of 7075-T6 aluminum with a hardcoat anodized black finish.

The Geissele Automatics URG-I Airborne is a fully ambidextrous, dual-levered AR-15 charging handle machined from a solid block of 7075-T6 aluminum, featuring dual-contoured levers with a checkered handling surface, shortened levers for reduced snag risk, a raised rear lip for gas redirection, and minimal laser engraving with "Geissele Automatics" and the ACH NSN number.

Dual-contoured levers on both sides of the handle are machined with a checkered surface to aid grip during gloved use, where smooth levers lose positive traction. Shortened levers reduce snag points compared to extended-lever designs, making the Airborne well suited for use with low-profile optics and in gear-heavy setups where a larger lever footprint would catch on equipment. The raised rear lip redirects gas from suppressed or short-barreled rifles away from the shooter's face, reducing blowback during rapid fire. The URG-I variant's minimal laser engraving maintains a clean, low-signature aesthetic consistent with professional use. Single-piece solid block machining from 7075-T6 aluminum eliminates joints between separate components for consistent structural integrity throughout.
