The Geissele Freedom Rifle MOD1 Recce was purpose-built around 6mm ARC, giving shooters a cartridge that bridges the gap between the lightweight handling of a small-frame rifle and the downrange energy typically reserved for larger platforms.

The 6mm ARC cartridge was specifically developed to extract more downrange energy and a flatter trajectory than typical AR-platform rounds while staying reliable in a semi-auto action, and Geissele built the GFR MOD1 around that cartridge from the ground up rather than adapting an existing 5.56 or .308 pattern rifle.
