The 4.49-inch barrel provides the G17's characteristic velocity advantage and 8.5-inch sight radius — the longest in the Gen 6 lineup — delivering improved accuracy potential at the longer distances where the full-size platform is most relevant. The A-CUT interface mounts the Aimpoint COA directly into the slide without adapter plates, sitting lower over the bore than any MOS plate-based configuration for a stable, zero-retention connection.
