The Great Lakes Firearms 1911DS Synergy is a single-action semi-automatic pistol chambered in 9mm Luger, built on an injection-molded polymer grip frame in Bull Shark Grey Cerakote with a black Cerakote stainless steel slide and 5-inch 416R stainless steel barrel.

The 416R stainless barrel provides consistent accuracy and long-term durability under sustained use. The RMSc-footprint optic cut on the black Cerakote stainless slide accepts Shield RMSc, Holosun 407K/507K, and compatible micro red dots directly without adapter plates. The fiber optic front sight and fixed rear sight deliver a fast iron sight baseline with or without an optic mounted. The adjustable skeletonized trigger allows pull weight and travel tuning. The beavertail grip safety and skeletonized hammer are standard. Ambidextrous safety controls accommodate both hands equally. The Picatinny accessory rail accepts lights and lasers. The 2011-compatible magazine format accepts a wide range of aftermarket extended magazines. Two 20-round 2011-compatible magazines are included.
