Best value for money

These pins do what they're supposed to do. The fit is perfect; no slop, but not too tight. I like extended pins because I do a lot of cold weather shooting and hunting outdoors and usually wear gloves, and being able to easily grip the takedown pin is a must. I usually use YHM pins in my AR15 builds, but they don't make a set for the AR10 platform and I'm building a Creedmoor precision rifle. These stick out a bit further than the YHM pins and aren't as clean looking, but they'll do the job just fine. When you factor in cost, these are the best pins I've found for the AR10 platform.

The Perfect Takedown Pin Exists.

As a Vet (USMC, 01-06) the one thing i hated about the m16 was the takedown pins. I mean, they're good in that they function as designed, but they aren't perfect. OEM pins require the user to push from one side before being able to grab and pull from the other. These pins (obviously) allow the user to just grab and pull, which is what i think they always should have been. the knob doesn't protrude very far and they work perfectly. I have this set on my ar10 and the other set on my ar15. i recommend rounding off the points on your detent pins before installing. the detents are holes rather than divots and if your detent pin is too pointy it can get caught and lock your pin in place.
