The H3's internal shifting weights move independently as the bolt carrier cycles, absorbing energy throughout the buffer's travel rather than transferring it all back to the shooter at once. This spreads recoil impulse over a longer period, reducing felt recoil and helping keep the sights on target for faster follow-up shots. The added mass and shifting-weight design also help eliminate bolt bounce, keeping the bolt carrier group seated fully forward at the end of its cycle.

A black nitride steel body resists wear and corrosion, while the orange neoprene head cushions impact against the receiver extension. Built from 6061 aluminum and steel, the buffer is sized for carbine-length buffer tubes and is well suited to higher-cyclic-rate setups.
