The Mark 23 has a cold hammer-forged polygonal barrel with a threaded O-ring, a one-piece machined steel slide, a match grade trigger, and HK's patented recoil reduction system. A frame-mounted decocking lever and a separate ambidextrous safety lever let it be carried cocked and locked in single-action mode with the safety on.
