The Holosun EPS or Enclosed Pistol Sight is Holosun's latest addition to their well-rounded product line. Holosun first made waves in the pistol sight market with the Holosun 407 and 507 offering innovative features found in their full size options in a much smaller package made for pistols. Features such as multiple reticle options and shake awake technology. Throughout the years Holosun has been on a mission to provide innovative technology in a small package at a great price. This is exactly what they delivered with the EPS. As the name suggests the EPS features a fully enclosed dot system. This is important as it keeps the emitter protected from any dust, water, or whatever else that can find its way in on a open system. This prevents anything from disrupting the dot allowing it to always be crisp and easy to see. Weighting in at 1 ounce made out of 7075-T6 Aluminum the EPS makes for a great option for your carry pistol.

Almost a perfect optic, but
by Steve -
I evaluated the Holosun EPS-6 Red-6 versus my 507C-X2 on my M&P Compact milled for an RMR. First, the EPS with the adapter plate was almost exactly the same height and my co-witness sights worked perfectly. I really liked the widow size and the 6 MOA dot, though I still like my MRS on the 507 also. There was one significant downside to the EPS. When looking through sight with a brighter background, I was picking up a reflection in the rear pane of the EPS. This obscured the sight picture significantly. My 507C, no reflection. So coming through a doorway from the outside it can pickup a reflection until you are inside. Also the sun coming in the window in my house when behind me reflected in the window of the EPS optic. I decided to keep my 507C and not change to the EPS. If it were not for the reflection issue, I might have changed. I do have an EPS carry on my Hellcat Pro and I will keep that one. It's ideal for that gun even with the reflection issue.
Poor Parallax
by Tom -
This would be a 5 star optic if it weren't for the bad parallax. I understand that every RDS has parallax in some form or fashion, but I compared this side by side to my RMR, Aimpoint H2, Eotech EXPS2, and Holosun 403 and none of them displayed noticeable parallax at 100 yards except for the EPS. The EPS dot would rise about 18 inches above the target at 100 yards, and maybe 8 inches left and right. I'm not sure if this is an issue with all EPS optics or maybe just the one I purchased. Other holosun RDS sights that I own (403B) don't have this parallax issue.
A dame fine sight

Holosun aint no slouch. Fits perfectly on my full size. Little to no distortion and the dot is stare at the sun bright at max setting. Love me closed emitters. Simple as.
Shake Awake issue
by Todd -
This is a great optic; especially if you are a fan of the 407/507 but there is one issue I have found. The shake awake feature malfunctions about 50% of the time meaning no dot when you draw. I did find a workaround however. If you enter the optic into "Button Lockout" mode it works fine. This may bother some but usually, I set to the dimmest possible setting in daylight and leave it alone anyway.
Thank you for taking the time to speak with me. I'm glad we were able to get you taken care of. Please reach out if we can be of further assistance.
