The Holosun 509 is a fully enclosed pistol red dot sight that comes with the ACSS Vulcan Reticle designed to improve speed and accuracy. The revolutionary patented ACSS Vulcan reticle provides a large circle guiding the eyes towards the 10 MOA center chevron, eliminating one of the biggest challenges for shooters new to slide-mounted red dots. If you are off-center, a portion of this outer circle will appear in the window to give you an instant reference on how to get centered. The circle phases out of the sight window completely when the center chevron is properly aligned in the sight window. This patent-pending reticle function significantly improves sight acquisition. It takes the common frustration of hunting for the center reticle out of the equation. Don't need the circle? It can be easily deactivated to extend the battery even further.

The Holosun HE509 Red Dot Sight features Solar Failsafe™ technology that will keep your reticle illuminated should your battery ever run out. Additionally, the Shake Awake™ technology allows the reticle to shut off when not in use and instantly turn on when it senses movement further extending the battery life. The closed emitter red dot sight style ensures your optic is always working rain or shine keeping water, dirt, or debris from covering the emitter while also preventing the lens from fogging up. The housing is machined from aluminum and hardcoat anodized for durability while only weighing in at 2 ounces. Comes with a 507c mounting adapter plate, so you can easily get it mounted to your handgun right out of the box.
Notes:
The adapter plate for the "-R" version is compatible with the most popular aftermarket slide cut in the industry. It is the same footprint as the Holosun 507C, making it compatible with most plate systems found on factory optics ready guns like the Walther PDP, S&W M&P C.O.R.E., CZ Optics Ready, Agency Arms AOS, FN 509 MRD, and Springfield Armory XDM Elite series handguns. It is also one of the most common aftermarket slide cut footprints.
The included 509 adapter plate is not compatible with ZEV or Shadow Systems style RMR interfaces.
The 509 ACSS model does not share the same footprint as the 509T (non-ACSS models) and therefore is incompatible with aftermarket mounting solutions and custom cut slides for the 509T (non-ACSS models).

Top Tier Red Dot From A Top Tier Company!

Ordered my HOLOSUN HE509-RD ENCLOSED RED DOT ACSS VULCAN on Sunday and received it that following Wednesday in mint condition. Amazing Red Dot! I’m aware that this red dot is for pistols but I installed it on my Benelli M4 (Scalar Works Mount) with the included adapter plate and she fits flawlessly. I’ll most definitely will be purchasing all of my red dots and accessories from Primary Arms moving forward. Thanks guys!

I love these things. im always watching them. I used to get 407C with ACSS until one day i had a bunch of rain get in my reticle and it was all buggered up and distorted. Once the water cleared it was ok but in a pinch I cant wait for it. Now, i always use the enclosed with acss. i use these for home defense, EDC and USPSA matches. Love em. i cant even say it enough times.
Seems great, but mounting??

Received today. Seems great. Can’t complete mounting until I figure out the thread pitch for my sig x10. The screws that came with the optic are obviously different. Not a major deal, but know you will need to source some screws. The plate also seems pretty thick. I’m glad it is robust, but don’t know how suppressor height sights will work out for co witness. Will review again once I have it operational.

Awesome MRDS. I much prefer this over the EPS. It's bigger, but not in a way that matters. Using a C&H adapter plate on a M&P9 CORE, it fits in a Safariland 6360RDS without issue. With the custom adapter plate, it fits low enough to see the backup iron sights barely. You don't need the sights to find the dot like on the EPS. One battery should last a year with Shake Awake because it sits still on my nightstand every night for ~8 hours. I'm very happy with this purchase. I only wish I had bought this first instead of the EPS.
Stacking plates?

I’d buy this optic right now if I didn’t have to stack plates to get it to work and was in green! Love the ACSS and want one that doesn’t collect dust/lint like my 507 ACSS GR. Actually would buy this in red if I could find a direct 1 plate option for this!
Like a cheat code

So i have had pistols for a long time. Just got into dots like 2 years ago, and this reticle is like a cheat code. I've ran it at a course already and it is almost impossible to miss (being that you have experience, etc). Its amazing and highly recommend.
