A trustworthy optic from holosun
by Mario -
This optic uses the aimpoint t2 footprint and is made of a stronger material than the more common holosuns and has great glass clarity and quality for its price range. Brightness settings are solid. I have this on an rs regulate direct mount for my wasr 10/63 and its a fantastic and very appealing optic for the platform. The only complaint i have is there is barely if any audible clicks when making adjustments for zeroing.
Built Like A Tank

I had great success with the HS515GM. I had no trouble zeroing it out of the box, the dot is bright and easy to see even in the desert. The kill flash and flip-up caps are nice to have and you can still see the dot with them installed.
Great optic

I like the 515gm works great and is really bright during the day.The mount was fine but I chose to upgrade it for a taller one
Very good

I was looking for a good red dot fora 10.3” AR and settled on this sight. I zeroed it after I received it and was very pleased with the dot itself, no washout on higher settings, and has held zero after much use and being beat around in the Jeep 4 wheeling around my compound. This rifle and optic has been my go to, and I carry everywhere I can legally carry it. The optic has been 100% since I installed it and trust it to be there when I needed it, and a trusted companion. I read the other review and he snapped a screw off in the base, sounds like operator error.
Nice upgrade

I got this to replace my old HS503GU I bought in 2016. The shake-awake feature stopped working correctly. This was my choice because the aluminum is better, it's more waterproof, has lens covers it has, a QD mount, and killflash. Those are the reasons I went with this over the HS503G-ACSS. I wish this had a bullet drop compensator, but I guess I can't have it all. I would have gone with the Titanium version.
The red dot is awesome, the mount I got sucks
by Scott -
The red dot itself is awesome. I love the reticle and the beefy 7075 body. It’s a very good option for someone on a budget. The mount on the other hand, not so much. The qd option works as it should and it seems sturdy enough but the hardware is junk. I take the screws out of all mounts, bases, etc to add thread locker just in case. Went to take this mount apart to do the same and the head snapped off one of the screws and the threaded part is still in the mount… so looks like I either have to return or pay extra money I wasn’t planning on to buy an expensive mount for what I had planned to be a budget red dot. Go figure…
