Hornady 300 AAC Blackout Sub-X ammunition is designed for subsonic performance while maintaining effective terminal ballistics. Each round features a 190-grain Sub-X (Subsonic eXpanding) bullet that remains below the sound barrier, making it ideal for suppressed shooting. The projectile is built with a soft lead core, a metal jacket featuring long expansion grooves, and a hollow point Flex Tip to enable reliable expansion at lower velocities. This design retains up to 90% of bullet weight on impact and delivers performance that meets FBI terminal ballistic standards within 100 yards when fired from a 16-inch barrel. Optimized powder selection reduces both flash and noise, even in unsuppressed firearms. The brass cases are crimped for dependable cycling in semi-automatic platforms.
