Great low cost option for those looking to go featureless.
by Robert -
Installed these on all of my previously equipped A1/2 FH rifles to go featureless. I used the old crush washer and they timed properly with no issues, bayonet mounted fine for those wondering.

I've only shot it out of my 20" so it's hard to rate it's effectiveness as the recoil was already negligible. It definitely wasn't loud like some brakes out there though so if there is some dampening don't expect it on the level of the more aggressive ones out there.

One downside is while the external finish seems fine I'm getting a little bit of green popping up in the tiny holes. It's not a big deal to me but ymmv. As it stands, I'm very happy with this as a low cost featureless option thats not going to blow your (or those around you) eardrums out, looks good, and has the same overall dimensions as the original flash hider.
Strange device
by Dynamite Pete
Great value comp...but has shortcomings. This item is a great value and does provide flash comp but it does toooo much compensation. Has a lot of back pressure to the shooter and out the side, it literally pushes the gun Down. While that can be good it’s something to get used too. One of the strangest muzzle devices I’ve tested. Worth a try for the money, but dollar for dollar I’d stick with a standard bird cage.
Overcompensates
by CVN -
I didn't get too much blast from this, so that is a positive, but it absolutely does push the muzzle down, and rather sharply too. For me it is harder to keep on target than using a plain old A2, so not much good to me. Probably is a great value for someone who cannot have an evil flash hider on the gun though, I am sure you could learn to shoot it reasonably well with practice.
Excellent option.

Excellent price and option to stay in compliance in CA.
Was worried about overcompensation. Shooting benchrest off bags or bipod, was not a problem. At 100 yards and a high power scope, was able to keep sight picture for next shot.
Not obnoxiously loud like the big holes out the side muzzle brakes.
prior to installment on rifle.....

i had the same issue as another post/customer i saw.The holes in the comp were partially blocked with metal grit of some kind.Im almost sure it was from the drilling of the holes in the comp but one never knows. When i finally install it on my rifle ill be back to complain or praise this comp!?!LOL if it wasnt for the grit i had to clean out i would have given u guys that 5th star....
