Strong comp, no flash suppression
by Bill -
I have this installed on a 16" barrel. It keeps the muzzle flat and is surprisingly very effective. The only issue is that it shoots flames using full power 556 out of a 16" barrel. Every other shot or so produces a large and bright flash. It does compensate very well though.
Got for a 22LR
by Fred -
Got this for a dedicated 22LR build solely based on cost. Didn't end up using it because the CMMG barrel was SO heavy just on its own. Haven't found another build to put it on yet so I can't speak on its abilities. It looks goofy, and looked goofy on the barrel. Super easy to time with the 9 sets of holes. One star off because of the weight of the device.
Will overcompensate*
by Neal -
Timing it at 12 o’ clock will overcompensates my 10.5” AR pistol. Somewhat lessened by timing it at 1 1 30 or 2 o’clock. Not as much concussion as a brake which is good. Aesthetically looks ok but the phosphate finish on mine was not perfect.
Works great

Got a couple of these when they were on sale. This compensator works great. No complaints at all.
Bought it thinking it would be terrible... turns out it's awesome!
by Mike -
It was on sale for $4.99 when I bought it, and it way outperformed my expectations. The ONLY recoil impulse is the bolt returning to battery. If you'd like to get an idea of the recoil, lock your bolt to the rear shoulder your weapon, then hit the bolt release.
It also has a badass Fireball out the top, so if you're using NVG's or are shooting in low light/no light will affect your eye adjustment.
Nothing special
by Benjamin -
Got it because it was the cheapest option, swapped it for an a2, on a 16" barrel for me it was extremely loud which is why I changed it, it's also a bit heavy but external dimensions are basically the same as the a2, also made one heck of a flash which was pretty cool but I wouldn't consider that a good thing, just looks awesome when plinking.
prior to installment on rifle.....
by Michael -
i had the same issue as another post/customer i saw.The holes in the comp were partially blocked with metal grit of some kind.Im almost sure it was from the drilling of the holes in the comp but one never knows. When i finally install it on my rifle ill be back to complain or praise this comp!?!LOL if it wasnt for the grit i had to clean out i would have given u guys that 5th star....
Excellent option.

Excellent price and option to stay in compliance in CA.
Was worried about overcompensation. Shooting benchrest off bags or bipod, was not a problem. At 100 yards and a high power scope, was able to keep sight picture for next shot.
Not obnoxiously loud like the big holes out the side muzzle brakes.
Overcompensates
by CVN -
I didn't get too much blast from this, so that is a positive, but it absolutely does push the muzzle down, and rather sharply too. For me it is harder to keep on target than using a plain old A2, so not much good to me. Probably is a great value for someone who cannot have an evil flash hider on the gun though, I am sure you could learn to shoot it reasonably well with practice.
Strange device
by Dynamite Pete
Great value comp...but has shortcomings. This item is a great value and does provide flash comp but it does toooo much compensation. Has a lot of back pressure to the shooter and out the side, it literally pushes the gun Down. While that can be good it’s something to get used too. One of the strangest muzzle devices I’ve tested. Worth a try for the money, but dollar for dollar I’d stick with a standard bird cage.
