L3Harris AN/PVS-31A BNVD - Unfilmed White Phosphor

The L3Harris BNVD (Binocular Night Vision Device), designated AN/PVS-31A, is a Generation III dual-tube goggle. When you need to see in the dark without revealing your position, night-vision devices can significantly enhance your tactical capabilities. 

By using a binocular design, the BNVD allows you to preserve your situational awareness more efficiently than a single or monocular night-vision device.

L3Harris collaborated with special operations forces to maximize the ergonomics and functional utility of the BNVD. This includes reducing the weight of the system to minimize user fatigue, increasing the resolution, and refining the balance. Regarding weight reduction, the BNVD only weighs one pound, with the AA battery included, reducing neck strain and improving maneuverability.

Using one AA battery, the BNVD can remain operational for approximately 16 hours. However, with the four-cell battery pack, the life of the system is extended to more than 50 hours. Optional diopter lenses allow you to customize the image quality to suit your own visual acuity. When stowed, the BNVD has an auto-off function, which powers down the device.
