Lantac SmoothCam Domed Cam Pin 5.56 - Copper

Nice concept. Smoothes the action of the bolt in .300 BLK and 5.56 units. Attached to Rubber City standard 5.56 BCGs on both. Why not a Nickel Teflon though? Also. Added the POF bearing cam pin to another unit which is even better but that's for another review. Definitely recommend this over the standard cam pin.

I’ve been installing these in all my AR-15’s and the company’s AR-10 version. It makes opening and closing the bolt carrier much easier. The gun functions much easier and smoother. You don’t need as much energy to get the bolt open and close. Of all the upgrading I’ve done on my AR’s this one part is one of the most significant in making the guns run much easier and smoother.

This product is a literal "must have" upgrade for any bolt carrier group. Of all the AR upgrades I have ever installed, this cam pin is one of the few where I've noticed a real difference in how the action runs. Whether charging the action or firing the gun, the reduction in wear and ease of operation is super obvious and really makes the firearm feel buttery. My Colt AR had noticeable wear in the cam pin cutout of the upper receiver from the original cam pin and you could feel slight friction and hang-up when charging the action. Once I installed the Lantac pin, it literally removed the aforementioned complaints. I'm telling you, if there's any upgrade you NEED to get, it is this one.

So far so good been nasty weather the pin fits excellent seems to be very smooth. Hopefully the weather will break soon to test it out more in the 300 Ham’r

I think in most circumstances, any form of enhanced cam pin doesn't really add any value or usefulness. Very few users will ever notice where from a camp in, especially when it comes to standard AR-15 configurations. That said, this part definitely has a place in certain platforms, such as piston guns or other weapons that have a somewhat more violent bolt reciprocation. In my case, I got a couple of these for very old LR300 rifles that have unique upper receivers that are irreplaceable. These cam pins have reduced wear to the upper receiver, and resulted in smoother operation.
