The Leupold VX-Freedom Rimfire is a 3-9x40mm second focal plane riflescope with a Rimfire MOA reticle, 1-inch maintube, finger-click adjustments, and a fixed 60-yard parallax setting.

The Rimfire MOA reticle is a proprietary Leupold design based on the T-MOA format. It provides hash marks at 1 MOA increments across 25 MOA of total measurement, with a wider 5 MOA hash for quick reference and thinner lines sized for rimfire-specific targets. The reticle works with any rimfire caliber. The 60-yard fixed parallax keeps the reticle sharp at typical rimfire shooting distances. Hardened surface lens coatings add scratch resistance to meet extreme military standards. A resettable index ring returns the elevation dial to zero without tools.
