The most important parts in a lower receiver are the trigger and grip. Everybody has their own preference as to what they want on their rifle, so it makes sense that Lewis Machine and Tool would offer an AR-15 lower parts kit without those two options. However, this AR-15 LPK comes with everything else you need to complete your lower receiver from small pins and springs to an ambidextrous safety selector. Every part is made in America with precision to ensure a tight fit in your LMT lower. This lower parts kit without grip or trigger is a great way to finish your AR-15 build.

This AR lower parts kit includes:
  • Trigger guard assembly
  • Magazine catch assembly
  • Bolt catch assembly
  • Pivot/takedown pin assemblies
  • Buffer retaining pin/spring
  • Ambidextrous safety selector assembly

Better off with BCM or Geissele

by -

I’ve been an LMT fan for a long time and I’ve always stood by their products. This LPK is the worst kit I’ve ever dealt with, even being installed on an LMT lower. The roll pin for the flat trigger guard is stuck 3/4 in and can’t be punched completely in or out, the mag release isn’t machined properly and sticks inside the receiver under the bolt catch, the safety selector has no LMT markings (unlike my other LMT ambi selectors) and can be switched into fire easily but needs to be hit with a hammer to switch back into safe. I’ll stick with BCM or Geissele from here on out.

As good as it gets but it is expensive.

LMT lower parts kit is top of the line. I installed it into a lower receiver and everything fit great. Form fit and function are all there. It is an expensive lower parts kit but the entire kit is mil spec. Which isn't just a "coating" like a bunch of the cheaper kits The metal hardness is correct etc. Can you get away with a cheaper kit? Probably, but when you spend your money on this kit you know all of the parts are quality. Not just the coatings but the steel used on all the small parts is the correct kind for longevity and reliability. I will gladly buy again if I need a good ambidextrous safety lower parts kit all in one place!
