The Lewis Machine And Tool MRP-L M-LOK Hybrid Stripped AR-15 Upper Receiver is a new-for-2026 patented monolithic upper built for both piston and direct impingement use. Built for builders who want rapid barrel changes without an armorer's block or barrel wrench, this one-piece design swaps LMT barrel assemblies with a single Torx bit.

The one-piece forged construction eliminates the handguard-to-receiver joint entirely, providing exceptional rigidity for suppressed and precision builds where consistent zero retention across barrel changes matters. Swapping barrels requires only a T-30 Torx bit to access two receiver bolts, making the process faster and simpler than a standard barrel nut system, while integrated QD sockets near the ejection port provide sling attachment without extra hardware.

This receiver is only compatible with LMT's patented monolithic barrel assemblies that use a low-profile gas block with a straight gas tube; standard AR-15 barrels and barrel nut systems will not work with it. It accepts LMT barrel assemblies from 10.5" to 16" and is compatible with mil-spec AR-15 lowers, though the barrel itself must be purchased separately.
