Excellent alternative to expensive AICS patterned metal mags!

by -

Bought as a cheap alternative to the more expensive AICS patterned metal mag options for use on a customer built Savage Long Action and MDT ESS-XL chassis system in 300 WinMag. The PMAG would stop the bolt from cycling back. I lightly filed down the inside (angled part) of the top “lips” using about 5 passes with a steel file. PMAG now functions PERFECTLY! I can’t blame issue on the PMAG being a custom build with so many variables. The PMAG itself is very solid and I’ll be stocking up on more.
