The Compact/Type Restricted Stock is a drop-in replacement buttstock for AR-15/M16 carbines using MIL-SPEC receiver extensions. Designed for light, fast action the streamlined A-frame profile avoids snagging and shields the release latch to prevent accidental activation.
The CTR features a friction lock system that minimizes excessive stock movement for enhanced weapon stability and an ambidextrous QD sling mount that will accept any push-button sling swivel. Includes a standard 0.30" thick rubber butt-pad which provides positive shoulder purchase to prevent slippage even with body armor or modular gear.
NOTE: Friction lock performance may vary depending on the host receiver extension dimensional tolerances.

A must...

A must have when you want to get rid of that loose play between the stock and buffer tube. I'm glad to see the Dual Tensioning system coming out by Magpul so now we can get this amount of lock-up without having to manipulate that second little lever. I wish they had come out with this for all of their stocks and sooner. But hey - better late than never!
Great all purpose stock

No secret that magpul offers great bang for the buck. Bought this stock for the option to add cheek risers later, depending on my future scope objective. Restricted CTR significantly reduces wiggle in the stock, but there is still a little wiggle, especially at fully extended. Still looks and feels great. Also shipped very quickly with outstanding tracking.

I bought this to match the pistol grip I bought. It's a very nice product and color. Works well made in the USA. Only problem is you'll never get any other brand of furniture to match the color.

Magpuls stealth grey is not really grey as they say, it more bluish.

Love the color on this! Looks black from a distance, but dark grey up close. Very sturdy and does not wobble like some of the other brands do. You can't go wrong with Magpul! Give it a try!
