The Magpul DT-PR Carbine Stock is the Precision Rifle version of the Dual-Tension series, designed for a tighter fit and improved stability by reducing play between the stock and buffer tube. It includes an anti-snag ambidextrous control lever and a front strap hand rest to help minimize movement. It features a contoured butt-pad for comfortable shoulder placement, and the extended bottom doubles as a bag rider for shooting rests for improved stability and accuracy. It has side slots for optional CTR Cheek Risers and is compatible with the MOE SL Enhanced Butt-Pad for extra LOP.

My New Favorite

I have been using the MFT Minimalist series due in part to weight, but also because of the angle at the bottom of butt pad. It pops up into my shoulder pocket when I bring my weapon up, almost perfectly. I never liked how much the stock rattled on the MIL-SPEC buffer tubes though. This new Magpul DT takes care of the annoying rattle and the butt pad angle, while not as “perfect” for my shoulder shape, works well enough for me. The weight is reasonable and it’s added at the back, the ideal place if you’re going to add weight. It’s super easy to adjust, has the QR attachment points you would want, and is comfortable to use. I have it on my defensive rifle as well as my 3-Gun competition rifle. Now my go-to.
