Magpul Hunter Lite Stock Ruger American Short Action - Stock - FDE

Built for hunters who cover open country, prairie, or arid terrain where a tan or coyote-colored rifle disappears against the environment, the Magpul Hunter Lite Stock in FDE transforms your Ruger American into a precision-fitted, 2.5-pound chassis that moves with you through miles of wide-open ground.

The Magpul Hunter Lite Stock for Ruger American Short Action in Flat Dark Earth is a drop-in replacement stock designed for hunters who want over 20% less weight than the original Hunter Stock, AICS-pattern magazine compatibility, and a fully adjustable chassis in a color that blends naturally into western and open-country environments.

The FDE finish isn't just an aesthetic choice — on a western mule deer hunt, a pronghorn stalk across sage flats, or a prairie dog session, a tan stock that blends with the surroundings reduces the visual disturbance that can push game before a shot opportunity develops. The Hunter Lite's rugged polymer shell in FDE provides this field advantage while withstanding the alkaline dust, dry heat, and UV exposure that characterize open-country hunting without fading, warping, or degrading. Precision matters just as much in the open as anywhere else: the aluminum V-bedding block with reinforced steel pillars provides consistent, repeatable action seating that keeps groups tight even after the rifle has been bounced around in a truck or dragged through a wire fence. The AICS 7.62-pattern magwell accepts the broad ecosystem of AICS-compatible detachable magazines for fast reloading on multiple-animal hunts, and the ambidextrous design accommodates both left- and right-handed hunters. LOP spans 13" to 15" using included 1/2" spacers, and the included cheek riser adjusts comb height for optic eye relief on the fly.

Platform: Ruger American Rifle & Ruger American Rifle Gen II (short action, right- and left-hand). AICS 7.62 pattern magwell. LOP: 13"–15" (4x 1/2" spacers included). Comb height: adjustable 0.36" via included cheek riser. Weight: 2.5–2.8 lbs. Width: 1.75" max. Butt-pad: 1.5 x 4.9". Accepts barrel profiles up to Medium Palma (0.920" dia.). Made in the USA. Color: Flat Dark Earth (FDE). NOT compatible with AR-magazine-capable stock models.

The aluminum V-bedding block and steel pillars deliver consistent action seating for repeatable accuracy. The FDE polymer shell is UV-stable and resistant to the temperature extremes and dry conditions typical of open-country western hunting environments.

The natural choice for western hunters, open-country stalkers, and prairie shooters who want a lighter, more precise Ruger American chassis in a color that works with the terrain rather than against it.
