The Magpul Bipod is packed with features usually reserved for bipods at a much higher price point. Magpul’s offering includes one-handed deployment of the spring tensioned legs. The legs are adjustable for length from 6.3” – 10.3” and are pan and tilt capable. Pan and tilt securely lock into place with an easy to use knurled locking knob. Lightweight and durable, this bipod takes advantage of weight saving polymer and tough aluminum construction with stainless steel internals. I bought a black and a FDE one! They were on sale! I bought the picatiny rail versions but they come in other style mountings too! Two allen headed/flat tip screws clamp it to the rail! I have picatiny rail mounts on most of my free float forends; so it's a simple swap. They appear to be very well made and function as designed. They are on a 5.56 and a 300 BlackOut so not a lot of recoil. Time will tell how durable they are! Hey it's a Magpul!

When I need something I always shop the PA website first due to their fast service. I now remember why I didn’t order one of these magpul bipods when they first came out.. you must use a tool to fasten it to the rail. This should come with a thumb screw for rail attachment or heaven forbid a quick detach like all other accessories in current year. I remedied this by adding a qd adapter which adds bulk and weight but makes the nice features of this bipod usable for my application.
