Excellent aftermarket AK furniiture
by Anthony
As usual, Magpul is spot on with their line of AK furniture. Purists may not like the look but everything is designed with function and ergonomics in mind. I installed a whole set (fixed stock, hand guard and grip) on my "beater" I.O. AK. It looks and handles great. Installation took a few minutes without the fitting and filing common with aftermarket AK accessories. Primary Arms came through with a great price and fast shipping. Always one of my go-to vendors.
Great stock for an AK!
by Rich
I fit this stock to a Century Arms model 39 V1. I ground off the plastic end to fit in the milled receiver it took about 30 minutes to make it fit. I now have a high cheek rest by adding the Magpul 3/4 inch high riser. It works great with a red dot pic rail I stalked on the rear sight mounting bracket.
Nice stock poor design

The moe ak stock is a pretty nice stock but in my opinion magpul made instalation way more difficult than necessary. I hate the way the stock secures to the receiver and don't have much confidence that it will stay tight after firing a fee hundred rounds.
Won't stay tight
by Ac
Seemed solid upon installation. Fired about 200 rounds through it and all three bolts had came loose. Applied blue loctite and fired 30 rounds thru it and they came loose again. Rifle was a Wasr 10/63.
Moe Buttstock

What can I say? It's Magpul. Replaced Some Kvar/Arsenal Poly furniture. first time putting new furniture on an AK. Like the aesthetics and feels different now...in a good way. PA has super fast shipping and very well packaged. Many folks complain it is difficult to install. I put this in a 1.5mm receiver which entailed me fitting the stock. Took me 15 minutes total and it was super easy. I have also heard folks complain about the instructions included i thought they were simple and easy to follow along. Also love the compartment. I was able to store a cleaning kit and wrapped a small crucifix and I have room left for a backup optic battery for the future when i add an optic to the rifle.
Stock not the best fit up
by Joshua
Magpul makes great stuff. With this stock I had to buy a longer machine screw and the stock does not line up all the way with my receiver.
Seems nice, but some issues
by Alex
It's a very comfortable and solid feeling stock. My only complaints like others have noted is with the install and some concerns about it staying tight. It just seems unnecessarily complicated and will come loose if any one of the three screws loosen at all. Also again like noted by others, the rear tang screw is too short. I've seen forum posts going back to 2016 raising the issue, not sure why Magpul still hasn't fixed it. The screw should be #10-24 x 1/2" rather than the 3/8" length they include.
Beware the hardware
by MattCo -
The stock itself it great, but the hardware to attach it is absolute garbage. Do yourself a favor and invest in some red loctite. I had to mix and match two sets to find a bolt that would be long enough to reach the nut beneath the tang. Hit or miss at best.
