The MOE Slim Line Handguard for AR-15/M4 firearms combines the light weight of a standard handguard with modular flexibility of a rail system in a slimmer package.
M-LOK slots at the 2, 6, and 10-o'clock positions provide space for 1913 Picatinny rail sections or direct mount M-LOK accessories. Reinforced, heat-resistant polymer construction provides durability while a large front extension and lower lip protects from the hot front sight gas block assembly maximizing useable handguard length.
NOTE: The mid-length MOE SL Handguard requires a round front handguard retaining cap and rear spring-loaded delta ring. Triangular retaining caps are not compatible. Must be used with the A2 front sight assembly. Other gas blocks are not compatible. If present, the factory sling swivel must be removed from the A2 front sight assembly.

Works only on Round END CAPS! Great handguard

Slim and sleek, works only on round handguards, Mlok compatible, you can modify these to work with a triangle handguard, but little material is left and I would not trust to to hold up to any abuse after modification, allows you to get that extra inch forward on your grip.
Slick, Functional Hand Guard

I installed this hand guard on my friend’s AR with a standard A2 hand guard. Once I removed the A2, I realized the rifle had a triangular hand guard end cap; whereas, the Magpul SL requires a circular end cap. If this is your situation, be prepared to purchase a tapered punch from Brownell’s to be able to remove the FSB. Standard punches will not work. Even then, I had to use a finishing hammer to generate the power to remove the FSB detents. This also required removing the muzzle along with the FSB and the the sling loop on the FSB. I actually had to Dremel off the detent of the sling loop. Moral of the story, if your rifle features a triangular hand guard end cap, count the cost before purchasing this hand guard. However, in my opinion, the hard work was totally worth it. The rifle looks noticeably better and features all of the benefits that come with a slim hand guard with multiple mlok points.
Replaced the standard MOE hand guard that felt bulky with the Slim Line.

This one feels more comfortable to grip. After watching a YouTube video the swap was not difficult. I put the bottom half in place where it stayed in place in the front sight base ring and while it was hanging in place inserted the top half. I mated the top and bottom by squeezing them together with one hand while pulling the Delta ring back with my other hand and everything went right into place. I definitely like this one better including the look.
