The Magpul MOE SL mid-length handguard in Flat Dark Earth upgrades the feel and accessory capability of standard mid-length AR-15s without requiring a free float conversion. Built for shooters who want a trimmer grip profile and M-LOK mounting in a desert-tone finish, this drop-in solution delivers modern functionality on a standard delta-ring upper.
The MOE SL mid-length is a drop-in AR-15 handguard designed for mid-length gas system rifles running a delta-ring assembly that benefit from a slimmer grip and direct M-LOK accessory mounting.
At 10.9 inches and 8.3 ounces, the MOE SL mid provides more coverage than a carbine-length handguard while remaining noticeably slimmer than the factory unit it replaces. M-LOK slots at the 2, 6, and 10-o'clock positions allow for targeted placement of lights, grips, and rail sections. Extended front and side lips shield the support hand from heat generated near the front sight assembly.
Requires a round front handguard retaining cap, rear spring-loaded delta ring, and the A2 front sight assembly. Triangular retaining caps and non-A2 gas blocks are not compatible. Remove any factory sling swivel from the A2 assembly prior to installation.
Constructed from reinforced, heat-resistant polymer with an integral riveted aluminum heat shield for sustained fire protection.

My favorite drop-in..

These have a much leaner profile tha regular MOE, and give a little more room for long arms or accessories. I have them on carbins and middy's.
If you are buying the mid-length model, maybe go ahead and order a round handguard end cap. Most mids seem to have triangle ones.
Didn't Fit

The Magpul MOE Slimline front hand would not ffit my PSA rifle. It wont fit rifles that have the triangular shaped Front Sight Base FSB handgrip plate. The MOE Slimline handgrip is made for a round FSB plate. If your rifle has the triangular-shaped FSB plate you'll have to stick with the Magpul MOE M-LOK front handguard.

These are the best Handguards available. I love the slim profile and increased length as well as additional mlok location.
Be warned some mid length uppers don’t use round end caps and you will need one for this handguard. 100% recommended

Slim and sleek, works only on round handguards, Mlok compatible, you can modify these to work with a triangle handguard, but little material is left and I would not trust to to hold up to any abuse after modification, allows you to get that extra inch forward on your grip.
