You get a self-contained spring and guide rod assembly purpose-weighted for the heavier bolt carrier and blowback cycling characteristics of 9mm AR platforms. The captured design eliminates the spring friction and noise of conventional buffer setups, providing smoother cycling and a cleaner recoil impulse on your 9mm CQB build.
