Reduce recoil, redirect gas, contain flash — in one cone-shaped QD shroud. The Maxim Defense QD Hate Shroud is a quick-detach muzzle device that reduces felt recoil, redirects gas and contaminants forward away from the shooter, and contains muzzle flash to enhance control and comfort on suppressor-host and standard rifle builds.
The Maxim Defense QD Hate Shroud is a cone-shaped quick-detach muzzle device designed for recoil mitigation, forward gas redirection, and muzzle flash containment on rifles using compatible QD suppressor mount systems.
Three functions define the Hate Shroud's muzzle management capability. The cone-shaped shroud redirects propellant gas and contaminants forward and away from the shooter, reducing the gas blowback that impacts the shooter's face and hands during suppressed or semi-suppressed operation — a meaningful comfort and situational awareness improvement in sustained firing or close-quarters use. Felt recoil reduction comes from the shroud's interaction with the exiting gas column, partially redirecting rearward gas impulse to counteract the recoil force at the muzzle before it reaches the shooter's shoulder. Muzzle flash containment within the shroud reduces the visible fire signature at the muzzle end, keeping the shooter's position less visible in low-light conditions and preserving night vision adaptation during firing sequences.
Compatible with Maxim Defense QD suppressor mount systems. Verify specific interface compatibility with your barrel and suppressor mount configuration before purchase.
