The Midwest Industries Combat Rail free float handguard is a no-compromise M-LOK upgrade for the AR-15 — machined from 6061-T6 aluminum, type 3 hard coat anodized black, coming in at 9.9 oz with the 4140 steel barrel nut installed, and made 100% in America. Built for AR-15 platforms, this free float handguard provides a continuous 12 o'clock Picatinny top rail with M-LOK accessory mounting across the remaining surfaces in a 12.625-inch length.
The Midwest Industries Combat Rail is a 12.625-inch free float M-LOK AR-15 handguard machined from 6061-T6 aluminum with a type 3 hard coat anodized black finish, featuring a continuous top Picatinny rail, M-LOK slots, and a 4140 steel barrel nut, weighing 9.9 oz installed.
A continuous 12 o'clock Picatinny top rail provides an uninterrupted mounting surface from rear to front for optics, backup sights, and top-mounted accessories without gaps. M-LOK slots across the remaining surfaces allow modular accessory mounting without adding fixed hardware or unnecessary weight. The 4140 steel barrel nut provides the thread engagement strength to maintain proper installation torque through the handguard's service life. Barrel Nut its Nuts

Not impressed with the size of the barrel nut. It's super small compared to my other MI handguards. Considering sending it back...
Quality of old

The quality of Midwest Industries is that of a machinist of the past. Every corner and mlok slot was machined with precision. It was the perfect match for my 14.5” pin and weld build. These rails may seem a bit higher priced than others however the included barrel nut wrench and ease of install more than make up the difference.
Almost perfect

I have four of these Midwest Combat Rails so obviously I like them. I had to drop a star on this one because of a sharp point that didn't get de-burred. Now that it's anodized I can't file it.
Solid hand-guard comparable to BCM

While still maintaining a low profile this handguard feels just as solid as my BCM 15" rail on my 16" recce. I'm a big fan of Midwest Industries as they're a good price point for the quality and has the QD mounts on nearly all their rails
