Details

The Midwest Industries Suppressor Series AR-15 Handguard is 100% made in America out of 6061-T6 aluminum and is type 3 hard coat anodized black. It is designed specifically with a larger 1.75” inner diameter to be used with a suppressor tucked underneath the handguard. This free float handguard is 12.63” long and weighs in at 12.8 ounces with the 4140 steel barrel nut installed. Torque the barrel nut and the handguard slips right over and is tightened down against the barrel nut without any timing required making installation a breeze. The indexing tabs keep the handguard secure against the receiver to prevent rotation while firing. In addition to the full length picatinny top rail, the Combat Handguard features M-LOK slots on seven sides for plenty of room for customization to set your rifle up exactly how you want without the need of heavy picatinny rails that won’t get used.

Another benefit of this handguard are the fully dehorned and deburred edges making for a premium feel without potential snag points and is comfortable to hold. Great shipping amidst Covid 19 and superior suppressor rail

Phenomenal Rail. But first- Primary Arms got this shipped and delivered ridiculously quick amidst the covid-19 pandemic. Kudos to them on meeting shipping demands and on USPS for delivering.
Now the rail- It's a beast. I mounted this on a 8" 300 Blackout to put my form 1 can in the handguard with 2" protruding.

The rail came with a rail section which was perfect but it including both two short screws in the box I was wondering what they were for. Well after mounting the handguard (which uses the back tabs to hook itself into the upper) I realized the screws on the rail section were too long. Thats when the lightbulb clicked. They were shorter screws to allow for closer tolerances between barrel/rail or suppressor/rail. Perfect. Mounted like a champ and put 90 rounds with a binary through it for initial test. It performed wonderfully.

Great Product

Great product. I absolutely love the fit, finish, and feel of this handguard. I have had many different handguards, from SLR, Geissele, and Maxim Defense. This handguard has a great feel in your hands, especially for people with a little larger hands. It has fantastic fitment with a simplistic practical design all the while being very light. Couldn't recommend this more. Worked perfectly for my application.
Only thing is Primary Arms says this has "two integral QD sling mounts" and it does not. Now for me I could cleary see that from the picture so I knew this before buying but just something to keep in mind. BCM or Arisaka offer great M-Lok QD mounts.

Nice rail, but suppressor diameter matters

The rail looks great and installed easily. Went to mount a light using the included pic rail section and hit a bit of a snag. There isn’t enough clearance to run a YHM Resonator and a rail section. Switched to a Liberty Mystic X and everything had plenty of clearance. Just a heads up.

Love this hand guard

Exactly what I was looking for. I wanted to reduce the weight of my AR-15 and this allowed me to do just that. I had a quad-rail guard that was 4inches longer and quite a bit heavier. My new guard allows me to mount all the same accessories using the M-Loc holes.

Great Handguard

As with most MI products, the handguard looks great and is solid. Feels good in the hands. The only downside is a barrel nut made from 6061 aluminum- so get the tool on there perfectly. I've installed quite a few of these for clients- and on 2 the barrel nut stripped out at approximately 60 ft/lbs attempting to time the barrel nut. Call it user error, but a different material may have made a difference. Still a five star product.
