Details

The Midwest Industries Barreled AR-15 Upper Receiver features the popular .223 Wylde chambering allowing safe and accurate use of both .223 remington and 5.56 NATO ammunition. The 16 inch barrel features a black Nitride finish with a lightweight profile and a mid-length gas system for reliability and low felt recoil. This AR-15 barreled upper receiver utilizes the Midwest Industries Combat Series 15 inch M-LOK free float handguard for attaching accessories. The upper receiver itself is forged from 7075-T6 aluminum and hardcoat anodized black. The M4 flat top picatinny rail is T-marked for attaching optics. This Midwest Industries AR-15 Barreled Upper Receiver does not include BCG or charging handle.

Just what I wanted

I’ve been looking for a quality lightweight upper for awhile. Not so easy in the current climate. This Midwest LW upper is exactly what I wanted. Put it on my Colt LE 6920 lower and used the BCG from the Colt as well. Shot it last weekend. No problems at all. Accuracy was just great. Its so much lighter than what Im used to with my Colt upper. Im never going back. Price was significantly lower than on MI website. This was my first purchase from Primary. It wont be that last. Shipping was fast. Price was good. Thanks Primary Arms!

Good for the money.

I have shot this upper and it’s pretty nice for the money. Fit and finish are great, it’s super light weight and the combat rail is really nice. I was hitting steel at 400 yards no issue with cheap Winchester 5.56 white box 55 grain ammo, using a lpvo. The barrel profile is pencil like but not exactly. It has a thinner taper compared to a Faxon gunner profile barrel. If your looking for a light weight upper for general use this one fits the bill for its cost. I haven’t tried shooting for groups with this upper, but I feel confident in saying if you find the ammo it groups best, you won’t be disappointed.

Great upper

This a great upper for the money, its put together very well and light weight. Very accurate and it will shoot steel case ammo. I call MI and asked what would be a good buffer to use with this, they suggested blue springco and H2 buffer. It works perfect, a 3:30 angle with 5.56 ammo and 4:00 with 223 steel case. I chose this over a BCM.

Superior Quality and light weight

I own two of these MI uppers. Superb quality, you will not be disappointed in one of these uppers. I strongly suggest using the Young Manufacturing hard chrome BCG with reinforced HMB bolt. This combination will make for a complete upper you can bet your life on.

High quality upper

This thing is fantastic. Fit & finish is top notch. Everything is where it’s supposed to be & no tool marks anywhere in it & all pieces are black. It’s lightweight, slim, & sturdy. MWI hit a home run with this upper. Can’t go wrong buying one.
