Installed on PSA 8.5 inch barrel and Aero Precision upper, quality was great and installation was easy with the proper wrench. Ran a few mags through it and it seemed to get rid of the heat pretty quick. Would recommend and will purchase again.
Very good, but not great

MI is one of those companies that usually makes very good products, but rarely exceptional ones. This piece is no exception. The main gripe is that MI chose to place the included barrel nut wrench--a hefty hunk of 3/16" steel that's heavier than the handguard--in a thin ziplock bag and toss it into the box LOOSE. The wrench beat up on the handguard en route and the latter came out with minor scratches in the coating. Not a huge deal, but it didn't have to happen and it's an easy fix. Other than that, it's a good quality piece that looks and works great, lightweight with a slim profile and solid, easy attachment.
perfect for a 7.5 pistol build

I used this on a super shorty pistol build with a 7.5" barrel. The length of this handguard is perfect because it leaves just enough barrel sticking out for the builder to get a wrench around a flash suppressor.
MI stuff is well built and the package comes with everything you need to put it together. Good stuff.

Great handguard! Put this on an 8” 300 pistol build and it feels great. Not too heavy and feels solid. I will be getting more Midwest handguards in the future.
