The AK Railed Gas Tube provides a lower 1/3 co-witness sight picture with most micro red dots like the Aimpoint T1 or Primary Arms MD-ADS! Installation is simple with no permanent modification to the firearm necessary. The internal profile is machined to same profile as a standard AK gas tube for reliable cycling.

I bought this half expecting to return it or sell it shortly. I just wanted to try out a "forward mount" on an AK without a side rail. Well, I'm impressed and this isn't going anywhere. To get this installed I needed to inlet my wooden lower handguard to allow the "wings" on the rear to seat properly. Other than that, installation was a breeze. After shooting today, everything is still solid. FWIW, co-witness with the irons is lower 1/3 if that sort of thing matters to you. For those looking to mount a red dot on an AK without a side rail, seriously consider this mount.

Follow the instructions when you install this. Use the loctite/vibratite they include. First use, I had the front set screws slightly loosen under heat. Not enough to lose zero or affect function, but it did happen. Retightned and applied more loctite and it hasn't come loose again. It does have fewer rail slots than other options, but I am a Midwest Industries fan.
