The Midwest Industries G4 M-LOK Handguard gives AR-15 builders a fully American-made free-float platform with seven-sided M-LOK coverage, a full-length Picatinny top rail, and five integral QD sling sockets — all at 14 inches and backed by Midwest Industries' lifetime warranty.
The Midwest Industries G4 is a 14-inch free-float M-LOK AR-15 handguard machined from 6061-T6 aluminum with seven sides of M-LOK attachment, a full-length Picatinny top rail, anti-rotation tabs, and a 4140 steel barrel nut included.
Seven M-LOK sides wrap the full circumference of the handguard, providing accessory mounting at virtually any position without the weight of full-perimeter Picatinny rail. Five integral QD sling sockets — two rear and two front — are built directly into the handguard body, eliminating the need for separate sling mount adapters. Anti-rotation indexing tabs keep the handguard secured against the receiver under recoil, while the slip-over barrel nut design requires no timing during installation. At 11 ounces installed with the barrel nut, the G4 adds minimal weight to a 14-inch precision or duty-length build. Fully dehorned and deburred edges provide a premium feel without snag points.
Compatible with standard mil-spec forged upper receivers. Not compatible with gas piston AR systems. Includes 4140 heat-treated steel barrel nut, barrel nut wrench, and 5-slot polymer M-LOK rail section. 100% made in the USA.
Machined from 6061-T6 aluminum with black hardcoat anodized finish. The included 4140 heat-treated barrel nut provides the strength and thermal resistance required for duty and high round count applications.

A great rail for my latest build. MI and Faxon are my go to's when it comes to rails. Very sturdy construction and secures to barrel nut properly.
Most of the time you get what you pay for and Midwest Industries is always a solid choice.
Best Rail for the $

Midwest Industries are the best rails for the money that I have come across. They have a great attachment system that is solid. Easy to install very lightweight. Only issue is I have had 2-3 that had dings or scratches on the finish or the aluminum was very slightly dented. This doesn't bother me at all it's going to happen sooner or later depending on how you use your rifle. You can always rattle can it or cerakote it. Some people may not be happy if a brand new item has a silver scratch or gouge in the finish. I use MI on every upper I build.
