MIRA Safety MD-1 Kids Gas Masks are made lightweight and compact to fit on a child while providing the same level of protection as an adult mask. This children's gas mask system consists of a chemical-resistant natural rubber shell, oro-nasal inner mask, panoramic polycarbonate visor, and a comfortable 5 point head harness. The reusable respirator is compatible with NATO standard 40mm filters like most adult masks, so filters can be used from the same supply without worry. It's designed to protect against poisonous substances, biological aerosols, radioactive dust, Iodine radionuclides, and aerosols (dust, fog, fumes) when used with the appropriate filter to reduce the chance of adverse side effects from these threats. Included is a 40mm tube that can be used with the Powered Air Purifying Respirator (PAPR) (sold separately) to reduce breathing fatigue.
