The Nightforce ATACR 4-16x42mm F1 Mil-XT is the field and competition configuration of the compact ATACR — the same 30-ounce, 12.6-inch platform with ED glass and ZeroHOLD turret, built around the Mil-XT reticle originally developed to meet U.S. military precision shooting requirements. The Mil-XT reticle's refined subtension layout provides a cleaner, less cluttered sight picture than the Mil-R while maintaining the precision holdover and wind correction capability competition and field shooters demand.

The Nightforce ATACR 4-16x42mm is a first focal plane rifle scope with a 34mm tube, 42mm objective lens, ZeroHOLD elevation turret, and DigIllum illumination, finished in black.

The extra-low dispersion glass delivers 90% light transmission with superior color contrast and resolving power across the full 4-16x range. The Mil-XT reticle provides a precise center reference and clearly defined Mil-Radian subtension marks for accurate holdovers and wind corrections — refined specifically for the precision demands of military and competitive long-range shooters. Because the scope is first focal plane, all Mil-XT subtensions remain accurate at every magnification setting. The ZeroHOLD turret system is designed specifically for hold-based shooting — it prevents accidental elevation changes by requiring a positive, deliberate motion to adjust, and returns positively to zero via the holdfast mechanism.
