The Nightforce NX6 2-12x42mm F1 is built for lightweight hunting rifles and special-purpose platforms where carrying weight and balance matter as much as optical performance. At 23.1 ounces and 12.5 inches, it is one of the lightest and most compact first focal plane scopes in the NX6 line — without sacrificing the FieldSet turret system, DigIllum illumination, or the reticle versatility that define the NX6 family.

The Nightforce NX6 2-12x42mm is a first focal plane rifle scope with a 30mm tube, 42mm objective lens, and FieldSet exposed elevation turret system, finished in black.

The FC-MRx reticle is purpose-built for shooters who need fast target acquisition at low power and precise holdover capability at distance in the same optic. A segmented center circle provides a clean, open aiming point at 2x for close-range or moving targets, while bold outer references accelerate initial acquisition under stress. A 1 MRAD grid extending to 20 MRAD provides precise elevation and wind hold references at higher magnification — and because the scope is first focal plane, all subtensions remain accurate at every magnification setting. The 2x low end makes the NX6 2-12x42mm a genuinely usable low-power variable for hunting applications where shots may present at any distance. The FieldSet elevation turret resets the dial and stop position in a single action using any field-expedient tool, with no special equipment required — it can also be converted from capped to an exposed dial configuration, and custom BDC dials engraved to a specific ballistic profile are available directly from Nightforce. DigIllum digital illumination integrates into the side focus control, offering five brightness levels with memory recall and auto shutoff. The standard power throw lever is included.
