Restored function to my 20” rifle length AR

by -

My Long range AR had become a single shot, so I backed the adjustment out hoping that would get my rifle cycling again. No dice. When I got home to work on it the adjustment screw wax long gone. I searched primary arms first since I got the gas block from here and found the repair kit.
I couldn’t just install the screw and detentions right away because everything was bound in carbon and copper deposits. I used a syringe full of hoppes #9 solvent first but ended up using my Barnes copper remover/bore cleaner and made sure I had good air flow from the gas port, the gas block, gas tube, as well as BCG. I tested function with my air compressor nozzle And made sure that all the solvent was blown out completely. Then reassembled the gas block and the new adjuster was working smoothly and had a tactile detent. Rifle runs great again.
