At 8.6 oz, the H-FRT AR-9 buffer is significantly heavier than a standard AR-9 buffer to manage the combined demands of blowback operation and FRT cycling rates. The 303 stainless steel body is durable through sustained high-round-count use. The proprietary flat wire spring is included and must be used with this buffer — do not substitute a standard spring. Together the buffer and spring manage recoil impulse, reduce wear on moving components, and support consistent cycling with an FRT in an AR-9 platform.
