Forging produces a denser, stronger part than casting or MIM by aligning the metal's grain structure along the part's stress points — the latch, cam track, and rear hook that contacts the bolt carrier all see repeated mechanical load, and benefit from forged 7075-T6's fatigue resistance. The hardcoat anodizing resists wear at the charging handle's contact points inside the upper receiver and protects against corrosion.
