The optimized crosshair section features .2 MIL subtensions for precise range estimation at extended ranges. The unobtrusive, yet comprehensive holdover grid features thick dots in 1 MIL increments with thinner dots every .5 MIL between them, offering plenty of aiming references out to extreme long range. The advanced reticle designs promote set-and-forget zeroing, but for those who prefer to count their clicks, the Japanese made PLx rifle scopes features tactile, audible, and -- more importantly -- precise and repeatable 0.1 MIL click adjustments. Once zero has been achieved, the finger-adjustable turrets can be easily reset to 0 as well, allowing future adjustments to be readily tracked.

Outstanding Glass, Decent Clicks, Near High-End at 1/2 the Price
by Michael
Best optic I've used before was 5-25x56 Vortex Strike Eagle. That's a pretty good optic for about 1/2 the price of $1500. But PLx glass much clearer, stellar to me. Improved eye relief, much better at 30x probably about same as Vortex at 20-25x. Clicks on elevation and windage are good, repeatable, not stellar feedback but very functional. When adjusting the zero cap, seems like you have to really get the click mark perfectly aligned AFTER wiggling dial back and forth to account for shift in mark depending on CW vs CCW turn (hysterisis). Again it's functional but I can see what you might get at $3000 vs $1500. I think it's good for the price. If you only have $750 (that's a lot) Strike Eagle is good, but mediocre eye relief at 25x. Spend $1500 and get really clear glass and and improved eye relief. Not perfect and I could use better. Would I spend double or get another PLx LPVO 1-8? I would spend $2500-3000 on a 6-30 and get a cheaper LPVO. But I'm still pretty happy with this PLx!

Great Scope So Far

In full disclosure, I haven’t used it to my intended distance yet (1 mile). But at 700 meters, the zoom is great, resolution is clear, and adjustments are easy and accurate. I did have some issues achieving eye relief, but it’s my first scope, so I’m sure the problem is me
Top Notch Japanese Glass

Have this on a 6.5 Creed RPR. Makes targets crystal clear compared to my Vortex in a similar price range. Amazing value for the level of glass you get.
Almost great

This scope is a pretty nice scope..For the Ranging Reticle for 6.5 CM & 224 Valkyrie its damn nice to hit steel from 100 yards to 1,000 yards with little effort.
With that said the glass could be better, and since their $499.00 3-18 x50 Apollo 6.5 CM/224 Valkyrie has Pull /Push Locking Turrets ,a reasonable person would only deduct that their Tier One PLX 6-30x56 Apollo would also have LOCKING TURRETS...Sadly they do Not.
Very nice so far

Just zeroed on a Savage 110BA 338LM. Really do like this scope.
Surprisingly nice scope.

I purchased the PLX5 scope with the Athena reticle to put on a “low-ER cost” 6.5 CM I am building. The optic is much nicer than I expected. Glass is great! Very slight edge fuzzing at 30! On par with my other higher end optics. The illumination is really nice in low light, and has a good range of useable settings. Turrets are nice, 10 mils per rev, solid zero stop. Nice positive clicks. They are not very audible, if that’s something you can’t live without. All I care about is tracking accuracy and this scope is plenty acceptable. Great value for this glass.
Top Tier Scope
by Mike
An amazing quality scope that is built like a tank with a very well thought out reticle. This scope is on par with $2,000-$3,000 scopes!!!
Great scope if only

Love the scope glass is great turrets track well The athena retical is easy to use especially at higher powers I would have given it 5 stars but I found while the vertical adjustment has a zero stop there is no lock on the turrets my 1-8 and many other you have to pull up then turn to adjust push down to lock not these
This Scope Gained my Respect
by John
At my first introduction to the Platinum Scope, I had the opportunity to actually get behind it and engage some steel targets out to distance,1000, 1200 and yes that awesome 1760 yards. A few close friends who are huge fans of the NF ATACR, like me got behind it and sent rounds down range became fans of the scope. Combined 20 MOA Rail and 20 MOA Mount and you will never run out of elevation. I especially love the ease of setting the zero stop. Almost self explanatory. Subtensions are set to help you follow the trace and at distance, you can spot your own impacts. How Primary Arms can deliver this scope at the price point that they do, and That was my first question. I don't know but don't let the price fool you into thinking this scope is a lesser optic because it's not. I'm not disappointed, as a matter of fact I'm ecstatic and it's become quite the bragging point with my friends who now want this scope. That's my two cents. It's earned my respect.
