Primary Arms SLx 1-10x28 SFP Rifle Scope - Illuminated ACSS Raptor M10S Reticle - 5.56 / .308
The Primary Arms SLx 1-10x28 Rifle Scope takes what is popular about low power variable optics and steps it up a notch to a larger magnification range without making sacrifices common with more traditional 10x optics. The first true 1-10x LPVO boasts a generous 3.2 - 3.5 inches of eye relief allowing you to easily set this scope up on your rifle of choice and still features a great field of view throughout the magnification range. With the addition of an integrated magnification lever, you can quickly and easily go from a true 1x sight picture all the way up to 10x magnification for those longer distance precision shots or simply for better target identification. This is truly a versatile optic that can do it all from close quarters to long range while still only weighing 19.1 ounces at 10.5 inches long. Just like the other optics, this scope is protected by the Primary Arms Lifetime Warranty. If a defect due to materials or workmanship, or even normal wear and tear, has caused your product to malfunction, Primary Arms will either repair or replace your product.

eyebox good to go at 10x

Glass is great for this price point, eyebox is stand out feature!

I love it! Glass is clear, reticle is easy to see, and easy target acquisition. I am so please I got the 1x10 and not something less. The extra magnification is wonderful at medium to far ranges yet at 1x with both eyes open seems like you are looking around normally with a reticle simple overlaid in your vision. Fantastic!
Awesome Scope, BDC works correctly!

Got this scope last week and went to the range to try it out today. Here is some background and my thoughts:
I put it on an 18” AR-15 (precision build), shooting 62 grain 5.56 NATO rounds. The BDC seems to be designed to work with an 18” barrel without adjustment; however, the owner’s manual that came with it included instructions for how to adjust it if you have a different length of barrel.
After zeroing it, I was able to hit a 36” target at 250 yards on my first shot. Took it out to 500, then 550 yards next. I wasn’t able to hit those targets due to the wind rapidly fluctuating at that point, but the bullet was dropping right about the correct distance. If the wind wasn’t so erratic, I have no doubt I’d have been able to hit those targets.
The glass is nice and clear; however, there is no parallax adjustment, so further targets do get a little blurry. That’s the only feature I wish it had.
better than expected

I did not know I like SFP instead of FFP till I got this
I compare this to PA 1-6 FFP which I also got
Glad I bought it
Very solidly built - no detectable wiggle to the diopter, nice finish and feels solid. Knurling on diopter ring, turrets and illumination dial is adequate but I would have liked a bit tighter pattern to it like the PLX C 1x8. The turrets themselves are nice - not much detectable wobble and good tactile clicks. The glass is very clear for a sub $500 scope. At 1x, the image is very flat with no real edge distortion, image shift or fisheye. The image stays sharp and crisp all the way up to around 8x and then starts to soften a bit. This could be corrected by adjusting the diopter, but the reticle starts to soften/blur a bit. The eyebox is not bad at 1x but does shrink as you increase the magnification. Eye relief is fine all the way through the magnification range - obviously its greater at 1x than 10x but still comfortable. Reticle-the wind holds and BDC is very well designed and easy to see at all magnifications and is daylight visible.
Great Scope, but Missing the Parallax Adjustment
by Ben S. -
I put this scope on an AR-15, 5.56, 18” barrel rifle, using 62 gr. Winchester ammo. There are instructions included for setting up the scope to work well with other configurations and ammo choices as well. The BDC worked excellently once it was sighted in! I was able to land fairly consistent bullseyes at 250 yards using the drop indicator.
Then I took it out to 550 yards (the maximum for the range). By that point the wind was too erratic and strong to make consistent shoots, but I could tell the bullets were dropping right about where they should.
My only complaint about the scope is that it’s missing the parallax (target focus) adjustment. If you’re shooting beyond 500 yards it can be difficult to see the target. BUT — for being able to be used as quickly as a red dot close by, and fast target acquisition and holdover farther out, with adjustable zoom all the way to 10x, it’s still a really good scope, especially for the price.
How is the Eye Box on the FFP 1X10 version of this optic. I think it's in the PLX Series of your optics and much more expensive, but we'll worth the extra money to have accuracy at all levels of magnification. My only concern is the Eye Relief and Eye Box if the FFP version.
Very happy with this purchase. Great glass with a clear easy to use reticle that has a lot of great features. Quality as always from primary arms.
Punches above its weight class

So far I’m really impressed, snagged this as a test and PA lived up to providing a better product than the price would indicate-thanks!!

Very good scope for the price! Same quality glass as nf. Boxes perfectly at 100yards. Clear all the way to the edges. Very clear when viewed through a PBS-14. A leap above 1 inch, 24, 28, and 30mm tubes.
