The Vortex Viper PST Gen II line delivers an unfair advantage to shooters who aim to keep the upper hand in every situation, from close quarters to long-range shots. The illumination dial is cleanly integrated into the side focus adjustment knob for easy access and streamlined performance. The glass-etched reticle offers shooters highly functional, intuitive, and detailed hold points, yet remains uncluttered for optimal viewing and features 10 intensity levels with off positions between each setting.

Vortex’s extra-low dispersion (XD) glass increases resolution and color fidelity, while their proprietary coatings increase light transmission and includes multiple anti-reflective coatings on all air-to-glass surfaces. The result is crisp, sharp images for an unparalleled view downrange.

Inside this second focal plane offering you will find Vortex’s hash-marked VMR-2 reticle, using MRAD based subtension lines for ranging, holdover, and windage corrections.

Great price (at the time of this review), optic is fantastic. Prior red dot user wanting more range. Yet the red dot feature with LVPO handles both. Found the weight a non issue with my 14.5 AR with a lighter barrel. Picks up multiple targets quick. Thank you PA

I read a ton of reviews and watched a ton of videos. The "side-by-side" or "vs" videos were particularly helpful. In the end the Vortex always came out on top until you started comparing it to LPVOs at double the price and higher. Even then the Vortex would come out on top occasionally.

Truly daylight bright reticle
Great glass
Lows:
Heavy
Large
Lack of reticle choices
I know size & weight is the nature of an LVPO, but people using this as a red dot will occasionally miss their red dot.
In conclusion, you can buy it with no regrets.
