Radian Raptor LT AR-15 Ambidextrous Charging Handle - FDE

A pricy charging handle that looks good; well made, solid construction.

Radian fan here, I was intrigued by the polymer coated latch “LT” design at first, but have opted for the standard Raptor on my past builds. However after acquiring a KE monolithic polymer lower in FDE color, I decided to give this a shot. No regrets! The color and texture are a near perfect match for the FDE polymer lower and the texture on this even feels far less slippery to me.

I've been looking at replacing my milspec charging handles for some time, but just didn't like the look, or feel, of so many others that friends run on theirs. A friend bought one of these, loved it, and showed it to me. I loved the look of it, and after running some rounds through his gun, I was sold on it. It's big enough to do the job, but not so big as to be in the way. It feels sturdy, although definitely lighter than milspec, and seems to slide much easier as well. In addition, the FDE color is close enough to Magpul FDE, it doesn't stand out on my gun. I've already bought 2 of these (1 FDE, 1 black), and will be switching over the rest of my rifles as soon as I can.

Radian Raptor charging handles have ended up being my favorite, others had too big of handles or too sharp of handles! Had to return the sharp one, but this design seems to be just the right size and the feel is excellent. I've purchased them in regular finish and NiBoron and like them. Then saw the LT version, which was less expensive, because the handles are polymer, but risked trying something new, and glad I did! The polymer finish has a matt feel, slight texture, so it's not slippery, plus it doesn't get cold like the metal ones, and it's less expensive. I kinda like it more than the regular one, and the colors don'd cost extra! Try it, you'll probably like it.

This is really not that bad for the performance you get. Some people will say "I will never pay 60 bucks for a charging handle", I use to be one of those people. Easy to charge my rifle now and the FDE look is always pleasing. Very durable and has a proven track record, can not go wrong with Radian. Now I will need to put it in my other Rifles as well.

Just upgraded my mil-spec charging handle to this. Solid charging handle. I am satisfied all the way around. Don’t let the LT scare you. This is lighter than your non-LT charging handle, however, this is still a solid charging handle. Great grip. Bulky surface for comfort. My girlfriend is a lefty so the ambidextrous action makes my rifle easier for the both of us to shoot. She loves this charging handle too! Do yourself a favor and buy this.
