Radical Firearms AR-15 Stripped Upper Receiver - Forged

Clean looking upper, no blemishes out of the box. Fitted to Delton and M&P15 lower, for great on both. Tried installing an upper receiver kit, dust cover easy to install. During the forward assist install, the roll pin was hard to start (using proper tools) once started, pin would not fit. Removed and used 2 other rolls pins thinking my rolls pins were out of spec. Had the same results, ended up sending it back to PA, and getting shipped another one, hopefully with the proper spec forward assist roll pin hole.

This product is a fantastic deal at $35 grab a couple. Good quality. Great fit between my Anderson lower and also my ruger lower. Highly recommend these guys.

Roll pin hole at fwd assist too small requiring excessive force to seat risking damage to receiver. Hole for fwd assist too large causing excessive movement of assist. Slot at top of ejection port to receive dust cover is slightly off center causing dust cover to bind when closed. Dust cover spring puts scratch through finish where it's seated on receiver.

Good price. It works fine but I had the same issue the other reviewer had. Forward assist hole is too small

I don't leave a lot of reviews but this upper called for one. Would not recommend. Out of spec in more places than one. As others have mentioned, forward assist pin, ejection door, and mine required fitting of the Pivot pins as they would not align with any lower. I have built over 80+ ARs from budget to high end. Never mind fitting or making a small adjustment but wish I would have went with another upper for sure.

I recommend this upper for a first build. I received this upper for free during a PA sale. I installed the WMD NiB-x forward assist and the SI capsule dust cover and did not have the issues that other reviews have faced. The finish is fine. My only issues are cosmetic. The upper does not line up with my Integrity Arms lower perfectly, but the takedown/pivot pinholes line up perfectly for a tight fit. No rattles, so I'm not upset. Also, the rail is slightly lower than the one on my TF free float. All in all, I recommend this for a first build. Not perfect, but gets the job done on the cheap.

For price everything I expected and clean. No t-marks which I didn't need or want this build so quality wise I'd recommend

Nice matt finish, not shiny like some others, accepts cerakote and paint very well, in spec, everything fits nice and tight on 80% lowers, anderson lowers and psa lowers, with pretty much with no wiggle, the threads are nice and tight and took standard parts as one would expect without any issues. Peening hardness test shows it is quality 7075 aluminum and properly hardened. Overall one of the best "to build on" stripped uppers you can buy.

Got this today, installed all upper parts including barrel and free floar rail. Took to the range and I have no complaints at all. Everything fit and worked properly. No blemishes.

PA filled my order and shipped quickly. The upper fitment on a PSA lower is good. I used a Strike dust cover and it fit/functioned with no additional trimming. I really don't have anything to complain about. This is a good low cost upper for your budget build.
